Her down-to-earth and patient approach and many practical tips make the process of improving your diet easy, rewarding and often life-changing. -Neal Barnard MD FACCPresident, Physicians Committee for Responsible MedicineI have always had an interest in nutrition, eating well, and staying as fit as I could to weather life’s ups and downs. After a very stressful and difficult time with family illness and loss, I knew I had internalized the agony and my body needed to get back on track. Blood tests showed that my cholesterol was high, I was showing signs of GERD, I had bouts of insomnia and I could feel the inflammation. I was determined to turn things around without medications, so my search began. My niece discovered Katherine Lawrence’s classes and my siblings, niece and I decided to attend her class on preventing heart disease. I was in awe of Katherine’s story and her ability to reverse her own disease. From that day on, I started my journey to wellness through nutritional and lifestyle changes. My health is back on track; I’m energetic and feel good and I am so grateful. I’ve used several of Katherine’s recipes and incorporated nutritional lessons, and no longer have GERD. I reduced my cholesterol from 260 to 186 in 9 months without medication. Wow!I am now an advocate because I know that food can save you too! My only regret is that I didn’t learn about this when I was in my 20’s. -MaryAnne C.I met Katherine (Katie) Lawrence in November 2016 when I began working for her business, Food Saved Me, a company that offered cooking classes focused on health and nutrition. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Wellness, Therapy & Mental Health BS: Katherine Lawrence (katherinelawrence.com)
This is a rare example of high-substance content trapped in a low-substance technical shell. The professional expertise is documented and quantified, but the site’s failure to provide structured data or functional sub-pages creates an unnecessary credibility tax.
Immediately populate the empty Programs & Classes sub-page with specific curriculum details and pricing. Implement Person and Organization JSON-LD schema to verify credentials and link to third-party entities. Add direct outbound links to the NBC and TEDx segments mentioned in the text. Update the Harvard 2024 and Stanford 2022 certifications with links to verifiable digital badges.
The site aligns well with the Wellness and Mental Health industry, specifically focusing on the intersection of nutrition science and neurodivergence. It utilizes industry-standard terms like evidence-based and nutrition science while maintaining a specialized niche in neurodiversity.
“The score of 29 reflects low bullshit levels, with the majority of the score (11/15) driven by technical identity and authority gaps. The information density is excellent, and the semantic coherence is near-perfect, preventing a higher BS rating.”
