[H2] Frequently asked questions
While we are a tech program with the goal of transforming your child’s interests into real-world STEM skills, we are also a summer camp. Simply put, camp is a balance of learning and fun! Students learn in small groups in labs on a prestigious college campus and from expert instructors who are trained to engage and inspire.Day camps kick off with icebreakers and team-building before jumping into morning coursework. When it’s time for lunch, your child will walk from the computer lab to the dining hall as they take in the beauty of campus. Students return to the learning labs in the afternoon for more exciting coursework, followed by an afternoon break where they will have the chance to take part in outdoor game time and more campus discovery before wrapping up with instruction!Overnight campers work until dinner and then go off to create deeper connections and memories while gaming, watching movies, and more. Your child will experience the magic of camp during days and nights filled with learning and adventure that builds lifelong friendships. Our instructors are recruited from top universities, but more importantly, they are elite mentors who understand kids, share their interests, bring first-hand experience, and serve as real-life role models for what the future holds. They are trained extensively in-person (and virtually) to differentiate engaging content to campers’ needs, connect to each child, and inspire them to pursue their dreams. Students spend approximately five hours per day on the computer, taking breaks to engage in recreational activities throughout their sessions. We blend traditional summer camp activities like sports, gaming tournaments, chess tournaments, outdoor activities, and more with cutting-edge technology courses. Beyond STEM skill development, students socialize, make friends, and have fun!As courses frequently sell out, we recommend registering early to secure your child's spot. You can make unlimited changes with no fees up to 28 days before the start of your session. If you need to cancel before March 1st, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid. If you cancel after March 1st but still 28+ days before your session, you will receive a refund less the additional fees (if applicable) and a $250 cancellation charge per week. Within 28 days of your session start date, changes are subject to a fee, and no refunds are provided for cancellations. If your child will be bringing a phone to camp, they’ll be able to access their device to update you on their adventures and take selfies with their new friends during break times. While many kids can’t stop talking about their days at camp, others are kids of few words. Our camp staff are here to help by taking pictures of campers in action! Our photos page is regularly updated to showcase all of the fun taking place at camp.During our Friday Family Showcase, loved ones get to see their camper’s final project while interacting with camp staff and learning about the week, skills gained, and more. In addition to valuable tech skills, kids and teens leave camp with new relationships, resilience, critical thinking opportunities, and an even greater love for tech (if that’s possible!).At the conclusion of your child's course, they will receive an iD Tech diploma as well as a transcript outlining everything they learned over the week. They’ll also take home a USB with their course project files, along with access to installation and setup guides so they can continue working at their own pace. When registering for overnight camp, you may request a roommate, and we’ll make every effort to accommodate. If you or your friend have already registered but did not specify a roommate upon registration, you can add one in the “Group With Request” section of your My Account up to two weeks before the start of your session. Otherwise, your child will be assigned a roommate based on their age and gender. You can also always call our Program Specialists at 1-888-709-8324 or email hello@idtech.com to assist you with making this request.iD Tech Academies offer intensive, assignment-driven programming workshops in various course topics including machine learning, virtual reality, game development, robotics, and more. Programs are designed to be a rigorous, pre-college experience that provides industry insights for teens interested in pursuing STEM fields in college or as a career.Academy programs run in two-week sessions. Weekend stays are an optional add-on at select locations. While they’re fully supervised by our staff, weekend stays are filled with activities designed for fun (rather than our usual instruction). Because this is a teen-only program, students are provided as much autonomy as po

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?

💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

33 BS / 100

iD Tech is a rare case where high-volume marketing fluff is backed by genuine logistical and technical substance. While the site leans heavily on elite and leading adjectives, it provides the exact technical stack, pricing, and scheduling required to validate its premium positioning. The BS is mostly decorative, not structural.

1. Replace the superlative most trusted with a direct link to an independent accreditation or award from a recognized education body. 2. Implement Person schema and LinkedIn sameAs links for the named instructors in the From iD Tech to the biggest in tech section. 3. Provide specific student-to-staff ratios (e.g., 8:1) within the small class sizes claim to move it from a cliché to a technical specification. 4. Link the Trustpilot badge directly to the public review profile to move review_count from trust theatre to verified proof.

The site is a perfect match for the Education and Schools category, specifically focusing on STEM-based supplementary education and summer camps. The content heavily utilizes industry-specific terminology such as immersive program, STEM educator, and curriculum to define its core offerings.

“The score of 33 reflects a site with low bullshit levels. The primary drivers of the score are Concept Repetition (5/5) and Industry Cliché Density (5/5), along with the Trust Theatre flags where high review counts lack direct verification paths. The site scored near-zero on Semantic Coherence and Identity/Authority due to excellent technical execution and cross-page consistency.”
