Trustpilot Eleanor "Amazing service, we finally feel heard and cared for. My son is able to access what is absolutely going to be life-changing healthcare. The professionals are amazing, warm and friendly but very knowledgeable, contact with people with real, lived experience is a wondrous thing. We are so grateful to you all at Anne Health." They also always answer fast and empathetically and are pro-active with their care reaching out early to ensure all goes well. Strongly recommend them!" Our approach [H2] Expert gender-affirming care, designed around you From hormones and puberty blocker guidance to blood tests, counselling, and the admin that keeps it all moving. We’ve got you covered. All delivered by qualified clinicians and therapists who know gender-affirming care inside out. Most of your care happens online through secure video calls, so it’s easy to get the support you need at home. And when it matters (like for blood tests) we’ll arrange in-person support too. Learn more about our services [IMG: Susie Green and Lizzie Jordan] Our story [H2] Born from love, built on experience Anne Health exists because we’ve lived through the gaps in the system and refused to accept them. We’re a not-for-profit created by parents, community leaders and clinicians who’ve spent decades supporting trans+ people and their families. We built Anne Health because the people we love couldn’t get the care they needed. We only charge because we have to. Every penny goes back into improving access, quality and safety. This isn’t business for us, it’s personal. And we’re here to help make your path easier. Learn more about us [H2] Frequently Asked Questions View some of the most asked questions, or search below for a question you might have. Or you can easily speak to us using one of the options below between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, or send us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Call us on 0333 004 7394 Email us at hello@anne.health Are all Anne Health appointments online? Most Anne Health appointments take place online by video call. This includes your therapeutic intake, medical consultations, and counselling sessions. You can join from wherever feels safe and comfortable for you. Some parts of your care need to happen in person. Blood tests, for example, can be done in a way that works best for you; through your GP, at one of our partner clinics, or at home using a mobile phlebotomy service. How will I get my blood tests done? There are a few ways to get your blood tests done, so you can choose what works best for you. With your GP If you go through your GP, we’ll provide all the details you and your GP need. At one of our partner clinics If you’d like to visit a partner clinic, we’ll make the referral and email you simple instructions for booking your test. You’ll go to your appointment, and the lab will send your results directly to us. Clinic blood tests are included in your monthly membership, except for Lite members. At home with a mobile blood test service If you choose the at-home option, we’ll email you instructions for booking. A trained healthcare professional (called a phlebotomist) will come to your home to take your blood sample. They’ll send it to the lab, and your results will be shared with us. Please note that if there’s a clinic near you, choosing the at-home service instead may come with an extra cost. Whichever option you choose, we’ll guide you through it and make sure everything is straightforward. How much will my prescriptions and medications cost? Writing your prescription is included in your membership. You’ll just need to pay for the medication itself. The cost of medication can vary depending on what you’re prescribed, your dose, and where you get it from. For more details, visit our hormone therapy page. Can anyone access the medical pathway? Our care is based on informed consent, but there’s still a process to follow. All members go through an intake process. This helps us make sure hormone therapy is the right next step for you and that you understand what it involves. How does the prescribing process work? If you’re prescribed hormone therapy, we’ll send you a digital prescription you can take to a local pharmacy. If you’re over 18, we can also connect you with a UK pharmacy that delivers to your home. If you’re under 18 and accessing puberty blockers through our legal route, we’ll give you all the information you need to order, pay for, and administer the medication safely. What is the intake process for joining Anne Health? The intake process can take up to 12 weeks to complete, although this can vary from person to person. This is because everyone’s situation is different. The timeline can depend on things like your age, where you are on your gender journey, what kind of support you’re looking for, whether you’ve had hormone therapy before, and the type of gender-affirming care support you need. It can also vary based on how many intake sessions are recommended, your availability for appointments, and how you choose to arrange your blood tests. We tailor the process to you, so you get the right level of support at the right pace. For more detailed information, see our guide to joining Anne Health. Can you provide surgery referral letters? Yes. We can write surgery referral letters for both members and non-members. But it’s important to know that each surgical provider has their own rules, so we can’t guarantee they’ll accept our letters. Once you’ve chosen a surgeon, you can ask them directly if they accept referrals from Anne Health. If needed, we’re happy to reach out to them ourselves to explain who we are and how we work. Do young people need parental consent? Yes. If you’re under 18, we need consent from at least one parent or legal guardian before we can welcome you to Anne Health. We’ll also need that parent or guardian to join some of your appointments if asked. This helps us make sure you’re supported and safe throughout your care. Our standard membership is a 12-month contract. If you change your mind after the 14-day cooling-off period, you’ll still need to pay the monthly fee until the end of the 12 months. If you change your mind within 14 days of paying the £200 joining fee, and haven’t used any services, we’ll give you a full refund. The Lite Membership is different. It’s a rolling monthly contract, so you can switch or cancel more easily. Read our terms and conditions for more information. Do you have to share medical information with GPs? Not unless you want us to. As a private provider, we won’t contact your GP unless you give us permission. However, if you’d like us to communicate with your GP, and keep them informed of all relevant updates relating to your care with us, we’re happy to do so. I live outside the UK. Can I still become a member? Yes, in many cases. If you live outside the UK and want to join Anne Health, we’d love to hear from you. There may be some differences in how your care is delivered, so we recommend speaking to our friendly admin team before signing up. Do I need a gender dysphoria diagnosis to join Anne Health? No, you don’t. You don’t need a formal diagnosis of gender dysphoria to access our services. We use an informed consent model, which centres your understanding of yourself and your care choices. Which surgeons can you refer me to for top surgery? We cannot endorse, recommend or guarantee specific results, but the following surgeons have accepted our referral letters in the past: Dr Ioannis Ntanos (UK & Greece, based in Manchester) Mr Miles Berry (Cosmetic Surgery Partners, London) Dr El Gammal (Cosmetic Surgery Partners, London) Miss Chloe Wright (Pall Mall Medical Group) Dr Kate Williams (Pall Mall Medical Group) Dr Richard Fakin (Madrid) Dr Lembas (Poland) If you’re interested in a surgeon not listed here, it’s best to contact them to check if they’ll accept a referral from us. We’re also happy to reach out for you. Can you organise shared-care with GPs? We’re happy to contact your GP to request shared-care, but it depends on whether they agree. We can’t guarantee they will, however, as every GP practice is different. What happens if I don’t pay my monthly subscription? When a payment is missed, we will send you an email notifying you of this. The email will include a link to update your payment method. If you’re experiencing financial difficulties, please reach out to discuss this with us. We’ll always do what we can to help. If my child has already been deemed Gillick competent, do they still have to be assessed by you? Yes. All children and young people go through our intake process. Even if your child has been assessed as Gillick competent elsewhere, we still need to confirm their understanding of the care they’re asking for. That includes the risks and benefits involved. That said, we do our best to keep this as simple as possible for families transferring from other providers. Usually, young people new to Anne Health need at least three sessions with a therapist before moving on to a doctor. If you’re transferring from another provider, two sessions may be enough, unless we think more are needed for safety or support. We also offer regular follow-up sessions as part of your care. These are more like check-ins than traditional therapy, and are designed to make sure you feel supported throughout your time with us. 1 2 Next [H2] Your journey, your pace, your care Take the first step with Anne Health. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Healthcare Providers & Medical Clinics BS: Anne Health (anne.health)
Anne Health is a rare example of a mission-driven site where the substance nearly matches the signal. It avoids the typical medical ‘fluff-trap’ by being painfully transparent about fees and timelines, though it needs to stop hiding its regulatory credentials to achieve a minimal BS score.
1. Append GMC/NMC registration numbers to all clinician mentions to ground ‘expert’ claims in legal fact. 2. Explicitly list the CQC registration number in the footer and on the About page to satisfy healthcare proof expectations. 3. Upgrade schema_json to include MedicalOrganization or Physician types with SameAs links to official registers. 4. Replace the generic ‘Expert clinicians you can trust’ H3 with a more specific noun-based heading like ‘GMC-Registered Clinical Specialists’.
The website perfectly aligns with the Healthcare Providers category, specifically focusing on the niche of private gender-affirming care. The content demonstrates a high degree of industry relevance by addressing specific medical needs like hormone therapy, blood monitoring, and surgical referrals.
“The score of 29 reflects a generally trustworthy site held back primarily by the Identity and Authority pillar. The absence of specific regulatory IDs and advanced medical schema (8/15) accounts for most of the points. Information Density (9/30) and Trust and Proof (5/20) scores are low (good), as the site provides more concrete evidence than the average medical provider.”
