[IMG: close] This option is currently not available Close [IMG: close] [IMG: World Vision staff member sat with a smiling child in Burundi] [H1] CONTACT WORLD VISION We'd love to hear from you. Find out how to get in touch. Whether you’ve got a question about donating, our programmes or your sponsorship, you can send a message, email, or get in touch by phone. Below are some of the questions our supporters often ask. [H2] Frequently Asked Questions How can I change my details? If you'd like to update your contact or bank details, please call our Supporter Care Team on 01908 84 10 10. How are my donations spent? When you give to World Vision, you can be sure your money gets to where it's needed most - and because of our community-focused solutions, for every child helped, 4 more benefit. Read more about how donations are spent. How can I cancel? If you'd like to cancel or change your regular donation to World Vision, please call our Supporter Care Team on 01908 84 10 10. How do I write to my sponsored child? Login to your My Sponsorship account for top tips and guidelines on how to write to your sponsored child - wherever they are in the world. You can also send messages or photos online. Each year, we’ll send you a Christmas card and a birthday card, which you can write a message in and send to your child. How long will my sponsorship last? We work with communities for ten years or more, until they are equipped to stand on their own two feet. So when you sponsor a child, you’ll have several years to watch them grow, and see all the change in their community. Your sponsorship will usually last until your sponsored child reaches the age of 18 or leaves education. But it also depends on how long we’ve been working with that community. If you join us later on in the journey, your sponsorship might end sooner, once we’ve achieved what we set out to do there. If the project where you are sponsoring comes to an end, or your child moves on for any reason, we’ll let you know and give you the opportunity to sponsor another child. This means you'll no longer be able to exchange letters or visit your old sponsored child. What happens to my sponsored child if I cancel? If you are thinking about cancelling your sponsorship, please get in touch with us, as there may be other ways in which you can continue your support. The child you sponsor will continue to benefit from the changes in their community and we will do our best to find a new sponsor for them. Why was I called by World Vision UK? 🔗 Identity & Technical Layer — schema JSON-LD: identity chains, entity gaps (Identity & Authority)
Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 261 businesses audited.
World Vision UK has 0.9 points more BS than the average for Charities, Nonprofits & NGOs.
Charities, Nonprofits & NGOs BS: World Vision UK (www.worldvision.org.uk)
World Vision UK successfully bypasses most nonprofit BS by anchoring its emotional appeals in hard financial transparency and audited impact metrics. It is a high-substance platform that suffers only from standard industry jargon and minor technical UI gaps on its conversion pages.
Implement Organization and Person JSON-LD schema to bridge the authority gap for staff and beneficiaries. Convert the internal review displays into verified Trustpilot or Charity Navigator widgets with outbound links. Remove or fix the ‘option not available’ placeholder on the sponsorship page to eliminate the only significant semantic drift point. Unify the financial percentage claims (82% vs 84%) which fluctuate slightly across different sub-pages.
The site is a textbook match for the Charities, Nonprofits & NGOs category. The content architecture is centered around fundraising, child sponsorship, and humanitarian aid, adhering to the standard donor-acquisition funnel expected in this sector.
“The score of 33 is driven primarily by high Information Density and tight Semantic Coherence. The Commodity Fingerprint pillar was the largest source of BS points due to the high density of industry-standard cliches, while the Trust and Proof pillar earned points for review counts lacking external verification links.”
