We’re excited to introduce you to this wonderful region and all that it has to offer. Explore the different amenities available below and please reach out if you have any questions or suggestions to better our services. [H3] Traveling with a Wheelchair or Mobility Device If you’re a passenger with a disability traveling with a mobility device, we encourage you to check directly with your airline as wheelchair service at RNO is provided by each airline individually and can vary depending on which airline you’re flying with. Make requests ahead of travel by contacting your airline directly. Please note: Vehicles are not permitted to be left unattended along the front curb. [H3] Requesting Wheelchairs and Mobility Device Services Request Wheelchair Services by Airline Schedule in advance or call upon arrival: Southwest, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, United, Volaris: Call 775-971-4087 Alaska, American, Spirit, Sun Country: Call 775-444-9802 Wheelchair Assistance Offices are located between the Delta and American Airlines drop-off areas, marked with ADA “Wheelchair Assistance” signs along the curb. Wheelchair representatives are available to assist passengers to their gates. Use RNO Provided Wheelchairs: RNO wheelchairs are available free of charge for all passengers. They are located inside the Ticketing Hall near the Southwest Airlines ticket counter, near the restrooms in the Ticketing Hall and near the United Airlines ticket counter. Friends and family may push wheelchairs through the terminals, but please review the rules regarding gate passes or Non-Passenger Escort passes. Please note: Vehicles are not permitted to be left unattended along the front curb. [H3] Find Accessible Parking Accessible parking spaces are located directly west of the terminal building and are on each level of the parking garages. There are a total of 86 accessible parking spaces including 12 van-accessible parking spaces. Accessible parking on the ground-floor parking garage (Short-Term Parking Garage) allows passengers to enter the terminal lobby by taking the crosswalk to the main entrance. Accessible parking on the second and third levels of the parking garage (Long-Term Parking) gives passengers convenient access to the skywalk that leads directly into the terminal. ADA-accessible parking is available in the ground-floor parking garage (Short-Term Parking Garage), even if the garage appears “full”. Please head to Short-Term parking and press the button at the entrance to contact an attendant. [H3] Accessible Curbside Drop-off and Pick-up Passenger Drop-Off: The entire front curb of the passenger drop-off lanes, in front of the Ticketing Hall, is ADA accessible. The curb is flush with the asphalt, and truncated domes—red, bumpy warning surfaces commonly found at crosswalks—line the curb to assist visually impaired individuals. If you are dropping off a passenger who uses a wheelchair or requires assistance, please do not leave your vehicle unattended on the curb. Instead, use the ADA-accessible parking available in the ground-floor parking garage (Short-Term Parking Garage), even if the garage appears “full”. Please head to Short-Term parking and press the button at the entrance to contact an attendant. A handicapped parking placard must be visible in your vehicle. Passenger Pick-Up: Multiple ADA-accessible locations along the curb feature a flush surface and truncated domes to indicate entry points. Please look for the red truncated domes when picking up passengers. [H3] Service Animal Relief Areas RNO welcomes both service animals and pet passengers with the amenities they need to feel safe and comfortable. Service animals should be properly identified to ensure proper care and amenities can be accessed. Learn more about what is considered a service animal under the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA). [H3] Locate Accessible Restrooms All restrooms at RNO are wheelchair accessible. There are also three family restrooms in the terminal building for our passengers’ convenience: one is located pre-security near the PGA Tour Golf Shop in the main lobby and two are located post-security on each concourse. Please see terminal maps for locations, or reach out to an RTAA staff member if further assistance is needed. [H3] Assistance to the Gate Passengers who need assistance from a family member or loved one to the gate may request a gate pass or Non-Passenger Escort pass through their airline. Additional Options [H2] Transportation to the Airport Beyond accessible parking and curbside drop-off, travelers have other options to reach the airport. Washoe County residents who are older adults or have disabilities may qualify for the Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada’s program N4 Connect, which provides monthly Lyft ride credits. Learn More Inclusivity Matters [H2] Adventure Knows No Bounds RNO works diligently to be in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 2010 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504). If you are a person with disabilities, please don’t hesitate to request reasonable accommodations by contacting your airline or RTAA’s ADA Compliance Officer directly for any of your airline or airport facility-related needs. Hidden Disabilities [H2] Sunflower program The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple tool for airport passengers to voluntarily share that they have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent – and that they may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time navigating through airport operations like the security checkpoint. RNO is one of many airports across the world that participate in the Sunflower program. RNO customers interested in obtaining a Sunflower lanyard or wristband may ask for one at the airport Information Hub or at the ticket counter of your airline. Sunflower website

Know that whenever you travel through Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), you can feel safe. Our friendly and supportive staff is here to help you whether you are a frequent flyer or a first-timer. If you need assistance in any way, don’t hesitate to connect with our staff while you’re at the airport. Here are some additional security resources available: In case of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1. Report suspicious activity or unattended items immediately to Airport Communications at 775-328-6999 or any available airport personnel. Travel Tips [H2] Security Checkpoint & TSA The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is responsible for managing and operating the passenger security screening checkpoints at all U.S. airports. TSA officials receive thorough safety and sensitivity training to ensure every passenger is respectfully screened. Please cooperate during the screening process to avoid delay. RNO has one security checkpoint located on the first floor of the terminal building. Any questions regarding TSA should be directed to the TSA at 1-866-289-9673. You can also reach them on X and Instagram, @TSA (they’re pretty funny), or by visiting the TSA website directly. [H3] What time does the TSA Security Checkpoint open? The security checkpoint is open and operational an hour to 90 minutes before the first departing flight of the day, typically around 4:00 a.m. Security checkpoint hours are subject to change. The RNO terminal is open and operational 24 hours, 7 days a week. [H3] What identification do I need to bring? Identification All passengers (age 18 years and older) must present their government-issued photo ID—such as a driver’s license or passport—to the TSA checkpoint staff as they pass through the security checkpoint. Please note: Beginning May 7, 2025, if you plan to use your state-issued ID or license to fly within the U.S., make sure it is REAL ID compliant. Nevada Real ID Information TSA Real ID Information Boarding Passes TSA at RNO uses credential authentication technology (CAT). CAT is linked electronically to the Secure Flight database, which confirms travelers’ flight details, ensuring they are ticketed for travel that day. CAT also displays any pre-screening statuses (like TSA PreCheck®) that the traveler is eligible for. While boarding passes may not be required during TSA checkpoint screenings at RNO due to our CAT tech, it’s always good to have your boarding pass handy, whether that’s a printed version or one that lives on your phone or phone’s digital wallet. Passengers still need to check in with their airline and will need a mobile or printed boarding pass to show the airline representative at their gate as they board their flight. You can get a boarding pass at RNO in a number of different ways: Download a mobile boarding pass directly to your phone through your airline. Print your boarding pass at your airline’s ticket counter. Print your boarding pass at one of your airline’s self-service ticket kiosks. Print your boarding pass at a curbside check-in station (this in only available through Southwest Airlines). [H3] What Does TSA Screen For? You may have heard that the TSA has a passion for prohibited items—but there are a few they’ll let you bring on board! (Within reason, of course.) Liquids You’re allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams, and pastes in your carry-on bag and through the checkpoint. Only one bag is allowed per passenger, and all products must be placed in a clear, quart-sized Ziploc bag. Please follow TSA’s 3-1-1 liquid rule for carry-on luggage: 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item 1 quart-sized bag 1 bag per passenger Any containers that are larger than 3.4 ounces, regardless of the amount inside, must be in checked baggage. Exemptions to this rule include medications and infant and child nourishments. Learn more: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/liquids-rule Firearms Federal law prohibits the transportation of firearms and/or ammunition in carry-on baggage. For passengers looking to travel with/or to transport firearms through RNO, there are strict regulations that you need to know before attempting to do so. Please check TSA’s rules and regulations regarding the transport of firearms before you come to the airport. Learn More: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunition Medical Marijuana Federal law prohibits the transportation of recreational marijuana. For passengers looking to travel with medical marijuana through RNO, there are strict regulations in place that you should review before traveling through the airport. Please check TSA’s rules and regulations regarding medical marijuana before you come to the airport. Learn More: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/medical-marijuana [H3] Who Qualifies for a Gate Pass or Non-Passenger Escort Pass? Currently, due to TSA directives, only ticketed customers can access areas beyond the security checkpoint, but gate passes or Non-Passenger Escort (NPE) passes may be granted by the airline for legitimate need, which may include: An unaccompanied minor. Customers requiring assistance related to a disability. If you have a legitimate need for an escort/NPE pass, you can request one from your airline ticketing agent. Passes are given at the discretion of each airline and while most U.S. carriers provide them, they are not guaranteed. Please bring a valid form of ID and the itinerary of the person you are accompanying. Expedited Screening [H2] TSA PreCheck® No need to remove shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, or jackets—TSA PreCheck® is an expedited screening program that allows frequent travelers to experience a smoother screening process, in fact, 94% of TSA PreCheck® passengers wait less than 5 minutes! [H3] Nearest Enrollment Centers First schedule an appointment with TSA to find appointment times at participating locations: Enroll at Staples in Reno, Nevada. 10350 N McCarran Blvd Reno, NV 89503 Enroll at Office Depot in Sparks, Nevada. 165 Disc Drive Sparks, NV 89436 [H3] Learn More If you’re a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you can apply online for TSA PreCheck®, pre-enroll, and schedule an appointment at the Staples enrollment center in Reno, Nev. Please note: The TSA PreCheck® enrollment center at RNO permanently closed on June 30, 2025. Please schedule an appointment with TSA to find all participating enrollment locations. RNO does not yet offer Global Entry or CLEAR security lanes or enrollment. [H2] And we want to help. RNO is ready and alert, willing to assist youth in need, whether they are running from an abusive home or trying to escape a human trafficking situation. RNO displays the SafePlace logo throughout the airport as a visual cue to those in need, so they know they can seek help and safety by approaching any airport employee—any time, anywhere. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Logistics, Transport & Shipping BS: Reno-Tahoe International Airport (renoairport.com)
A rare example of a pure utility site with minimal marketing vapor. It prioritizes operational transparency and passenger logistics over brand storytelling, resulting in an exceptionally low BS score. The site functions as a tool rather than a pitch deck.
1. Replace the H1 ‘We Move You’ with a more specific value proposition like ‘Gateway to 20+ Nonstop Destinations.’ 2. Add Person schema for the ‘Compliance Officer’ mentioned in the Accessibility section to enhance authority. 3. Provide direct outbound links to the official TSA performance dashboard to substantiate the wait-time percentages. 4. Convert the AI-generated suitcase images to real photography of the actual terminal to eliminate the ‘uncanny valley’ marketing feel.
The site fits the Logistics, Transport & Shipping category perfectly, focusing specifically on air travel operations and regional transport infrastructure. The content is heavily weighted toward operational logistics rather than generic shipping fluff.
“The score of 10 is driven by high information density and zero semantic drift. Minor points were only deducted for a few generic taglines and the presence of low-volume, unverified review counts in the metadata. The site is almost entirely composed of forensic substance.”
