[H2] How MaaS Compared To Traditional Marketing Skills AvailableCostsExecutionMarketing technology usedAdaptabilityWhat you get [H3] MaaS The diverse range of experience on our team means that we have industry experts in every aspect imaginable. [H3] In-House Marketing Limited by your budget and time to hire the right expertise. [H3] Freelancer Limited as each freelancer has a different range of capabilities. Their knowledge about the business may also be limited, which impacts value in delivery. [H3] Marketing Agency Very limited in the types of services they specialize in. If a company only does social media, their skills will only apply there. [H3] MaaS With low and manageable pricing, you only pay for the services that matter most to your business. You are getting an expert team on your side, but they’re doing it for a fraction! [H3] In-House Marketing High as you pay monthly salaries and benefits for dedicated staff, as well as the costs of the tech and maintenance needed for the marketing. [H3] Freelancer Freelance services are limited to a specific area and the rate is hourly. You need spend more time finding other experts for other projects [H3] Marketing Agency The cost for this kind of work can be high, especially when it comes to running a social media campaign or full-scale marketing automation. [H3] MaaS MaaS services are offered on-demand. Basically, each of the marketing services your business needs are readily available, as well as the personnel to carry it out. [H3] In-House Marketing The main limiting factor is the amount of resources available, since to grow you will need to allocate more budget to the marketing department – including the payments and technology needed. [H3] Freelancer Empty section. Edit page to add content here. [H3] Freelancer Limitations when it comes to scaling are common, where an individual cannot be overburdened with multiple tasks as this would compromise their effectiveness. [H3] Marketing Agency Fast turnaround – especially on the particular function that their services have been built around. But limited to their expertise on board. Bigger agencies may require bigger fee. [H3] MaaS MaaS partners have immediate access to the technology stack needed to expand your digital footprint and reel in more customers. After all, this is their bread and butter – and they need to invest heavily in ensuring that they have the resources needed. [H3] In-House Marketing They end up having to outsource source for each new tech stack required to expand your operations. Companies pay for multiple subscriptions to the required tools. Ie. If you need SemRush, you pay anything from €300 to €1000 per month. [H3] Freelancer Even more limited, since they typically work remotely and depend on the technology provided by the organization itself. [H3] Marketing Agency They have immediate access to the technology stack needed to expand your digital footprint and reel in more customers. After all, this is their bread and butter – and they need to invest heavily in ensuring that they have the resources needed. [H3] MaaS How agile are they in adapting to changing marketing trends in your niche? With MaaS, this is fast since they are in tune with evolving market dynamics. [H3] In-House Marketing You would need to spend more time and resources training and equipping your staff to keep them up to speed with changing trends. [H3] Freelancer Depend on how well they are versed with your business, and their own individual knowledge depth. [H3] Marketing Agency They typically operate with retainers where the scope of work has already been defined. Changing contract terms will need more resources to be allocated first. [H3] Simplicity We’ve taken the complexity out of marketing by offering all these services under one roof. No need to juggle multiple agencies or worry about coordinating efforts – we’ve got it all covered for you. [H3] Cost-Effective MAAS is a cost-effective solution compared to hiring individual specialists or managing multiple marketing platforms. Get the best value for your investment. [H3] Customisation We tailor our services to meet your specific business goals and needs. You get a personalized marketing strategy that aligns perfectly with your objectives. [H3] Expertise Our team of experienced professionals is well-versed in the latest marketing trends and techniques. Trust us to stay ahead of the curve and deliver results. [H1] WHY MODERN MARKETING NEEDS A FULL TEAM, NOT ONE PERSON Digital Marketing, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Internet Marketing, PPC, SEO, Social Media, Website Development | May 11, 2026 By Pradeep Dabas [IMG: Modern Marketing] How the fragmentation of digital marketing has made the “marketing generalist” obsolete — and what SMEs can do about it.In 2018, a capable marketing hire could handle most of what a small Irish business needed. Write some copy, post on social, tweak the website, run a few Google Ads. One person, broad skills, reasonable results. That world no longer exists.By April 2026, the marketing discipline has fractured into half a dozen specialist fields — each of which has itself become more complex in the last eighteen months thanks to AI. The person who truly masters Google’s Performance Max campaigns is not the same person who understands how to structure a website for AI-driven search results. The social media strategist who builds community on LinkedIn is not the developer who integrates your CRM with your ad platforms. For SMEs employing between five and fifty people, this fragmentation creates a real competitive disadvantage — unless you know how to respond to it.Expecting one marketing hire to cover SEO, paid ads, web design, social media, automation and AI in 2026 is like expecting one person to be your solicitor, accountant, and financial advisor simultaneously. [H2] 01 | THE MARKETING SKILLS EXPLOSION NOBODY WARNED YOU ABOUT It is worth understanding why marketing has fractured, because it explains why the problem will only deepen rather than resolve.Google’s algorithm now processes over 200 ranking signals and has undergone fundamental restructuring with its AI Overviews rollout — now covering an estimated 47% of Irish search queries. Appearing well in AI-generated answers requires a different technical approach to traditional SEO, including structured data, topical authority frameworks, and entity optimisation. This alone has become a specialism.Simultaneously, Google Ads has evolved from keyword bidding into a machine-learning system — Performance Max, Demand Gen, and AI-assisted creative — that requires ongoing technical fluency to manage profitably. Social media has split into distinct platform strategies: LinkedIn B2B outreach, Instagram visual commerce, TikTok short-form, and Facebook community management each demand unique expertise. And none of that touches website UX, conversion rate optimisation, email automation, or analytics. [H3] KEY STATISTICS — IRISH MARKETING LANDSCAPE, 2026 StatisticFigureWhat It MeansDistinct marketing specialisms needed7+No single hire covers all of themIrish Google searches showing AI Overview47%Traditional SEO alone is no longer enoughAvg. time to hire a senior marketing manager in Dublin3–6 monthsSlow pipeline for SMEs with urgent needsTotal employment cost for one mid-level hire€72,000+Before any ad spend or tools budget [H2] 02 | THE SIX DISCIPLINES YOUR COMPETITORS ALREADY HAVE COVERED Here is what a genuinely competitive marketing function looks like for a SME in 2026. Ask yourself honestly: which of these are you currently executing well? [H3] AI-Powered SEO Not just keywords. Topical authority mapping, structured data, entity SEO, and optimising for AI Overviews and Answer Engine results — the channels now capturing nearly half of all search traffic. [H3] Google Marketing Performance Max, Search, and Demand Gen campaigns managed with machine-learning fluency. Proper conversion tracking, audience segmentation, and ROAS optimisation — not set-and-forget. [H3] Web Design & UX A website that converts visitors, loads fast, passes Core Web Vitals, and is built for both human users and AI crawlers — updated continuously as your business evolves. [H3] Social Media Management Platform-native strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Community management, paid social, and creator partnerships — not just scheduled posts. [H3] Automation CRM workflows, email sequences, lead nurturing funnels, and AI chatbots that qualify and convert leads while you sleep — removing human bottlenecks from your sales pipeline. [H3] AI-Powered Reporting Real-time dashboards, attribution modelling, and predictive analytics — so you always know what is working, what is not, and where the next euro of budget should go.A senior marketing manager in Dublin — even an excellent one — will have genuine depth in perhaps two or three of the above. They will be functional in one or two more and largely unfamiliar with the rest. That is not a criticism; it reflects the reality of how specialised each field has become. [H2] 03 | WHAT IT ACTUALLY COSTS TO HIRE IN-HOUSE IN IRELAND Let us be concrete about the numbers, because this is where the outsourced model becomes financially obvious.RoleAnnual Salary (Dublin, 2026)Total Employment CostCoverageMarketing Manager (generalist)€55,000–€65,000€68,000–€80,0002–3 channels, generalist depthSEO Specialist€45,000–€58,000€56,000–€72,000SEO onlyGoogle Ads Specialist€42,000–€55,000€52,000–€68,000Paid search onlyWeb Designer / Developer€48,000–€65,000€60,000–€80,000Design & development onlySocial Media Manager€38,000–€48,000€47,000–€60,000Social platforms onlyFULL SPECIALIST TEAM (5 hires) €228,000–€291,000€283,000–€360,000Full coverage across all channelsTotal employment cost includes employer PRSI (11.15%), pension contributions, holiday pay, sick leave, and recruitment fees — typically 15–20% of salary for specialist roles in a competitive market. It does not include tools and software subscriptions, training, or management overhead. For a business with ten to thirty employees, spending €283,000 per year purely on marketing headcount — before any ad spend — is simply not viable. And yet the alternative of doing without proper marketing in 2026 is equally costly: you simply watch competitors take the market share you are not competing for. [H2] 04 | CASE STUDIES: SMES WHO MADE THE SWITCH The following case studies are representative composites drawn from Salt Marketing’s client work with Dublin and Leinster-based SMEs. Business names have been anonymised. [H3] CASE STUDY 01 [H4] CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY PRACTICE Professional Services · 18 employees · Dublin 2This mid-sized accountancy firm had been managing their own LinkedIn posts and running a basic Google Ads campaign internally — spending roughly €1,800 per month in ad budget with negligible return. Their website had not been updated since 2021 and ranked on page three for their core search terms. They had no CRM automation, no email nurture sequence, and no visibility into which marketing activities were generating enquiries.Six months after engaging Salt Marketing’s outsourced team, the picture looked entirely different. A full website rebuild addressed Core Web Vitals failures and restructured content around topical authority — the firm now appears in AI Overviews for seven target search terms, including ‘accountant SME’ and ‘R&D tax credits Ireland.’ Google Ads were restructured under Performance Max with proper conversion tracking. A LinkedIn content calendar and paid campaign run in parallel. An automated CRM workflow now nurtures every inbound enquiry through a six-touch email sequence before a human picks up the phone. [H3] RESULTS: 312% — increase in organic enquiries67% — reduction in cost per lead4.1× — Google Ads ROAS improvement7 — AI Overview rankings gained. [H3] CASE STUDY 02 [H4] TRADE & FIT-OUT CONTRACTOR construction & Interior Fit-Out · 34 employees · Swords, DublinA successful fit-out contractor doing strong work for commercial clients across Dublin was almost entirely reliant on word-of-mouth referrals. Their online presence was minimal — a dated website, an inactive Facebook page, and no Google Business Profile optimisation. When referrals slowed during a quieter Q1, the pipeline dried up with them. The owner recognised this dependency as a risk and wanted to build a marketing engine that generated leads independently of personal relationships.Salt’s team approached this with a local SEO and Google Business Profile strategy as the immediate priority, coupled with a complete visual brand refresh and new project portfolio website. Instagram and LinkedIn were activated with a regular cadence of high-quality project photography and before/after content. A Google Ads campaign targeting commercial fit-out searches in the greater Dublin area was live within three weeks. Within four months, the firm had its first inbound enquiry from a client they had no prior relationship with — and then another, and another. [H3] RESULTS: 8 — inbound leads in month 4 alone#1 — Google Maps rank for key local terms2,800 — Instagram followers in 5 months€340k — new pipeline attributed to digital channels [H3] CASE STUDY 03 [H4] DUBLIN-BASED HR & RECRUITMENT SAAS Technology / SaaS · 22 employees · Grand Canal Dock, DublinThis HR technology startup had a strong product and a small but passionate customer base — but their marketing was characterised by bursts of activity followed by silence. The founding team were technically excellent and had strong views on their product, but no consistent content strategy, no paid acquisition framework, and no way to attribute revenue to marketing activities. They had tried two marketing agency relationships previously, both of which ended without measurable results.Salt Marketing embedded as a dedicated team rather than an agency: a weekly sync with the CEO, access to all analytics and CRM data, and accountability for clearly defined pipeline targets. An AI SEO strategy was built around the buyer journey — from awareness content targeting HR managers searching for process solutions, to bottom-of-funnel comparison and demo-request pages. Automation was central: a multi-step onboarding email sequence, a trial-to-paid nurture flow, and a LinkedIn outreach automation targeting HR Directors at companies of 50–500 employees. Monthly AI-powered reporting gave the founding team attribution clarity they had never had before. [H3] RESULTS: 41% — increase in trial sign-ups within 90 days28% — improvement in trial-to-paid conversion rate3.2× — increase in qualified LinkedIn leadsFull — revenue attribution visibility from day one [H2] 05 | HOW AI IS RAISING THE BAR — AGAIN If the specialisation of marketing over the last decade created a skills gap for SMEs, the AI transformation of 2025–2026 has widened it considerably.Search behaviour has changed in ways that are now measurable and significant. Google’s AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Search, and Perplexity are collectively redirecting a growing share of information-seeking queries away from traditional blue-link results. Research from Similarweb’s 2026 Irish market report indicates that websites ranking well in traditional SEO but absent from AI-generated answer panels are seeing organic traffic decline even as their rankings hold. This matters because appearing in AI-generated answers requires different optimisation than traditional SEO. Search engines synthesise these answers from content that demonstrates clear topical authority, uses natural question-and-answer structure, includes properly marked-up structured data, and is published by entities with strong E-E-A-T signals (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust). Getting this right in 2026 is not a quick configuration change — it is a sustained content and technical strategy. On the automation side, AI tools are enabling smaller teams to punch far above their weight — but only if someone sets them up correctly. Marketing automation that works requires a thoughtful lead journey, correctly configured triggers, properly written sequences, and ongoing refinement based on performance data. Done poorly, it damages your brand. Done well, it adds a full-time sales function to your business at a fraction of the cost. The honest reality for most Irish SMEs is this: you are not going to learn all of this yourself, and you are not going to find a single hire who has mastered all of it. What you can do is access a team that has.AI has not killed SEO. It has raised the standard for what good SEO requires — and narrowed the gap between businesses who invest in expertise and those who do not. [H2] 06 | WHAT AN OUTSOURCED MARKETING TEAM LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE The phrase “outsourced marketing” can conjure images of a remote agency sending monthly PDF reports with little connection to your business. That is not what we are describing.Salt Marketing operates as an embedded part of your business — with regular direct communication, access to your real data, and accountability to the same targets you care about: leads, revenue, and pipeline. The difference between Salt and a typical agency is orientation: we are not selling campaigns, we are building your marketing function. In practical terms, a Salt engagement gives a SME access to a dedicated team (web designer, SEO strategist, Google Ads specialist, social media manager, automation expert, and analytics lead), a unified strategy across all channels, real-time reporting dashboards, and infrastructure that compounds in value month over month. The cost is a fraction of what a full in-house team would require — and the expertise level is higher, because each specialist works across multiple accounts and stays current in their field as their primary professional focus. [H2] 07 | FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Is outsourced marketing right for a business our size?A. Outsourced marketing is particularly well-suited to businesses with 5–50 employees — the size range where you have real marketing needs but can’t justify the cost of multiple specialist hires. If you are currently doing marketing in an ad hoc way or relying on a stretched generalist, an outsourced team typically delivers more for less.Q. How does Salt Marketing stay aligned with our business goals?A. Through regular structured communication: weekly or fortnightly check-ins, shared access to all marketing data, and reporting tied to the business metrics that matter to you — leads, pipeline, and revenue — not vanity metrics like impressions or follower counts.Q. What does AI SEO involve and why does it matter in Ireland in 2026?A. AI SEO refers to optimising your content and website to appear in AI-generated search results — including Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, and Perplexity. These answer panels now account for a significant and growing share of Irish search queries. Appearing in them requires topical authority, structured data, and question-led content — different techniques to traditional keyword SEO.Q. How quickly can we expect results?A. Paid channels like Google Ads typically produce measurable results within the first four to six weeks. SEO and content authority build over three to six months. Automation delivers ongoing returns that compound over time. Most clients see meaningful pipel

[H1] How a Growth Agency Measures ROI (and Why It Goes Beyond Clicks and Leads) SEO | April 23, 2026 By Pradeep Dabas [IMG: ROI] At Salt Marketing, we look at ROI through a much wider lens than clicks, impressions, or raw lead numbers. Those metrics still matter, of course. They tell you whether people are finding you and taking early action. Still, they do not tell you the full story. If you run a business in Ireland, you already know that marketing budgets are under pressure. The European Commission’s 2025 SME Fact Sheet for Ireland found that Irish SME employment grew by 2.8% in 2024, while SME real value added fell by 2.5% after an even steeper 4.9% drop in 2023. Simply put, many smaller firms are still being asked to do more with tighter margins. That is exactly why growth agencies have to measure what marketing contributes to the business, not just what it generates at the top of the funnel. [H2] What ROI actually means in a growth context Contents hide 1 What ROI actually means in a growth context 2 Clicks and leads are useful but incomplete 3 Revenue is the first real ROI checkpoint 4 Retention changes the maths completely 5 Referrals are part of ROI too 6 What a better ROI model looks like 6.1 1. However, in a growth setting, that return is not limited to “we got 100 leads this month.”A proper ROI view asks harder questions:Did marketing bring in revenue?Did those customers stay?Did they buy again?Did they refer other people?Did the work improve the value of each customer over time? That is the difference between activity and impact. This is also the thinking behind our own growth partner approach. Marketing should connect website performance, SEO, content, sales, retention, and customer value into one system, not a pile of disconnected reports. [H2] Clicks and leads are useful but incomplete Clicks are helpful because they show attention. Leads are helpful because they show intent. Yet both can mislead you if you stop there. For example, a campaign might generate 300 leads at a low cost. That sounds great until you discover that:half were never qualifiedonly a few turned into customersthose customers had low order valuesmost did not come backNow compare that with a campaign that produced 40 leads, converted 10 of them, and brought in customers who stayed for 18 months and referred two more clients. The second campaign may look smaller in a dashboard, but it is far more valuable to the business. That is why we pair acquisition work such as SEO services, SEO copywriting, and a focused content creation strategy with stronger conversion and retention tracking. Otherwise, you are only measuring the first step. [H2] Revenue is the first real ROI checkpoint The first question we ask is simple: how much revenue did this activity influence? That sounds obvious, yet many businesses still stop at form fills or traffic growth. A growth agency should link channels to closed sales wherever possible. That might mean CRM integration, cleaner lead source tagging, phone call tracking, ecommerce attribution, or tighter reporting between marketing and sales.Revenue matters because you don’t want to be groping in the dark. A page that gets traffic but never converts is not an ROI win. A campaign that brings in fewer leads but more sales technically is.You can see this emphasis in our FORTI case study, where traffic and lead generation are tied back to wider brand and business growth rather than surface numbers alone. [H2] Retention changes the maths completely This is where ROI becomes much more interesting.According to Bain & Company insights, increasing customer retention by as little as 5% can lift profits by as much as 95%. Bain also notes in a separate loyalty study that repeat customers often spend more over time, and in one ecommerce example, the tenth purchase was nearly 80% larger than the first. So, if you only measure first purchase revenue, you can badly undervalue your marketing.Let’s say your campaign brings in 20 new customers worth €500 each. On paper, that is €10,000 in revenue. Still, if 8 of those customers buy again over the next year, and 3 upgrade to a higher-value service, the real return is much higher. On the other hand, if almost all of them disappear after one sale, the first-month numbers may have looked healthy while the true ROI was weak. That is one reason we care about what happens after the click. Good WordPress SEO and strong site structure do more than help you rank. They can also support page experience, relevance, and trust, which shape whether a visitor becomes a customer worth keeping. [H2] Referrals are part of ROI too Referral value is often ignored because it sits outside standard campaign dashboards. Still, it has a real financial impact.Nielsen reports that 88% of global respondents trust recommendations from people they know more than any other channel. In another Nielsen trust study, that figure reached 92% for recommendations from friends and family. That’s important because referred customers usually arrive with more trust already built in. They often convert faster and need less persuasion. There is another layer too. Forrester, citing XM Institute research, says loyal customers are five times more likely to repurchase and four times more likely to refer. Bain has also found that 80% to 90% of positive referrals can come from promoters. So when a growth agency measures ROI, referrals should not be treated as a nice bonus. They are part of the return. [H2] What a better ROI model looks like At Salt Marketing, a stronger ROI model tracks four layers together. [H3] 1. Acquisition metrics These are the familiar numbers:trafficclick-through ratecost per clicklead volumecost per leadYou still need them because they tell you whether your visibility work is functioning. [H3] 2. Conversion metrics This is where marketing gets closer to business reality:qualified lead ratesales conversion ratebooked callsproposal requestsaverage order valueA campaign with a lower lead count but a higher close rate can outperform a high-volume campaign very quickly. [H3] 3. Retention metrics This is where long-term ROI shows up:repeat purchase ratechurn raterenewal ratecustomer lifetime valuetime between purchasesThese metrics show whether the customers you gained were worth gaining. [H3] 4. Advocacy metrics This is often the missing piece:referral volumereferral conversion ratereviewstestimonial ratepromoter sentimentIf marketing improves customer quality and experience, advocacy tends to rise with it. [H2] A simple example of ROI beyond leads Say you invest €3,000 in SEO content and conversion improvements.Over six months, that work produces:2,500 extra organic visits50 leads12 new customers€18,000 in initial sales4 repeat customers worth another €8,0003 referrals that generate €4,500Now your return is not based on “50 leads”. It is based on €30,500 in combined first-sale, repeat, and referral revenue from a €3,000 investment. That is a far more useful business number. This is also why our SEO copywriting services and content strategy work are built around relevance, intent, and fit, not just producing more pages for the sake of it. If content attracts the wrong people, the numbers may look busy while revenue stays flat. [H2] Rake in more value for your business A growth agency should never report ROI as if the job ends at the click or the lead form. Those numbers matter, but they are only the beginning. The fuller picture includes revenue, retention, repeat buying, and referrals. That is where you can see whether marketing is helping your business grow in a way that lasts. For Irish businesses, that wider view matters even more. With margins under strain and competition staying tight, you need to know which activity is bringing in customers who buy, stay, and recommend you to others. That is the kind of ROI worth measuring. This blog is a fantastic “reality check” for business owners. In 2026, the Irish market is far too competitive for businesses to be satisfied with “vanity metrics” like clicks.I have reviewed the content and prepared three high-detail, humanized case studies from the Medical/Healthcare, Professional Services, and luxury Tourism sectors. These focus specifically on how ROI was measured far beyond the initial lead. [H1] Beyond the Click: The Real ROI Playbook How shifting from “leads” to “lifetime value” transformed three Irish businesses. [H2] CASE STUDY 1: THE PATIENT-FIRST SPECIALIST The Niche: Specialized Fertility & Women’s Health Clinic (Healthcare) [H3] The Human Struggle The clinic director, Dr. Niamh, was frustrated. Her Google Ads were generating plenty of “enquiries,” but her staff was overwhelmed by people asking for basic prices or services the clinic didn’t offer. Her “Cost Per Lead” looked great on paper, but her actual patient intake remained flat, and her team was burnt out from “low-value” admin. [H3] The Formula in Action Acquisition: We stopped bidding on broad terms like “Doctor Dublin” and used AI to identify high-intent, specific medical queries.Conversion: We overhauled the SEO copywriting to address emotional fears and technical success rates, pre-qualifying patients before they even called. The “Real” ROI: We shifted the focus from “Number of Enquiries” to “Qualified Consultation Rate” and “Patient Treatment Completion.”The Win: While the total number of leads actually dropped by 15%, the conversion to paid treatment rose by 40%. Dr. Niamh saw a 22% increase in revenue because the marketing was now attracting patients who stayed for the full duration of their care journey. [H2] CASE STUDY 2: THE RETAINER REVOLUTION The Niche: Corporate Law & Compliance Firm (Professional Services) [H3] The Human Struggle Managing Partner, David, felt like his firm was on a “hamster wheel.” They would win a big contract through a referral, finish the work, and then have to hunt for the next one. His website was a “digital brochure” that did nothing to keep existing clients engaged or attract new ones systematically. [H3] The Formula in Action Retention: We implemented a Content Creation Strategy focused on “Regulatory Alerts.” Instead of just selling law services, the firm became a “compliance partner.”Advocacy: We used AI to identify which long-term clients hadn’t left a review or referral lately and triggered personalized outreach. The “Real” ROI: We measured Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and Referral Revenue. The Win: By focusing on retention, the firm saw a 50% increase in repeat instructions from existing clients. The “ROI” wasn’t just the new clients—it was the €45,000 in additional revenue generated by simply keeping the clients they already had. [H2] CASE STUDY 3: THE “SLOW TRAVEL” SUCCESS The Niche: Luxury Heritage Castle & Estate (Premium Tourism) [H3] The Human Struggle The estate manager, Conor, was seeing plenty of bookings, but they were mostly one-night stays from “deal-seekers.” His marketing was focused on “filling beds” for the weekend, but his margins were being eaten alive by OTA (Online Travel Agency) commissions and high turnover costs. [H3] The Formula in Action Acquisition: We used SEO to target “Experience” keywords (e.g., “Luxury falconry retreats Ireland”) rather than just “Hotels in Ireland.”Advocacy: We turned guests into “Promoters” by creating Instagram-worthy moments and following up with an AI-driven “Loyalty Gift” for those who referred friends. The “Real” ROI: We tracked Direct Booking Ratio and Average Spend Per Stay (Ancillary Revenue). The Win: By attracting “Experience Seekers” over “Bargain Hunters,” the average spend per guest increased by €180. Direct bookings rose by 30%, saving the estate thousands in commissions. The ROI was measured in profit margin per room, not just occupancy. [H2] The “So What?” | Takeaways for Your Growth Plan What can you learn from Niamh, David, and Conor?Quality Over Quantity: * Lesson: A lead is only a “return” if it turns into a customer. If your marketing brings in 100 people but only 1 buys, you have a conversion problem, not a traffic problem. The Fortune is in the Follow-up: * Lesson: David (The Law Firm) proved that your most profitable “new” customer is often an old customer who hasn’t been spoken to in a while.Measure the “Total” Spend: * Lesson: Conor (The Estate) looked at the entire spend of a guest (spa, dinner, drinks), not just the room rate. Your marketing should be credited for the total value it brings into the building.Referrals are a Metric, Not a Bonus: * Lesson: If a customer loves you so much they bring a friend, that friend’s value should be linked back to the original marketing that found the first customer. [H1] Beyond the Click: The Real ROI Playbook How three Irish businesses stopped chasing “likes” and started measuring what actually pays the bills. [H2] CASE STUDY 1: THE SPECIALIST’S SANITY The Industry: Fertility & Women’s Health (Medical/Healthcare) The Location: South Dublin [H3] The Human Struggle Dr. Niamh, the lead consultant at a busy clinic, was drowning. Her marketing dashboard showed hundreds of “leads” every month, but her front-desk team was exhausted. They were spending hours answering basic price queries from people who weren’t a fit for her specialized care. On paper, her ROI was “high,” but in reality, her staff was burning out, and her high-theatre rooms were sitting empty. [H3] The “Aha!” Moment We realized that a “lead” isn’t a win if it wastes 20 minutes of a nurse’s time. We stopped measuring “Form Fills” and started measuring “Consultation Quality.” [H3] The Strategy in Action Acquisition: We tightened Google Ads to exclude “bargain hunters” and used AI to identify the specific, anxious questions patients ask at 2:00 AM.Conversion: We rewrote her site’s SEO copy to be a “digital consultation,” answering technical success-rate questions before the phone even rang.T
SUB-PAGE (https://saltmarketing.ie/the-growth-formula-how-google-ads-seo-and-ai-work-together/) Growth Formula: Google Ads, SEO & AI Together
[H1] The Growth Formula: How Google Ads, SEO and AI Work Together Artificial Intelligence, Google Ads, SEO | April 15, 2026 By Pradeep Dabas [IMG: Google Ads and SEO, AI] If you are still treating Google Ads, SEO and AI as separate jobs, you are leaving growth on the table. At Salt Marketing, we look at them as one connected system. Paid search gives you speed, SEO gives you staying power, and AI helps you spot patterns, improve relevance, and make better decisions faster. When those three work together, you are not just collecting traffic from different places. You are building a stronger route from search to sale. That joined-up thinking sits at the centre of our Marketing as a Service approach, where strategy, content, paid ads, SEO and reporting all feed the same growth plan.Google itself says it now handles more than 5 trillion searches a year. It also says 15% of searches every day are brand new, which tells you how quickly search behaviour keeps shifting. At the same time, Google has described AI Overviews as one of the most successful Search launches of the past decade. For businesses, that means search is still a major growth channel, but the way people discover brands is changing fast. For Irish businesses, this matters even more because AI use is moving from experiment to normal practice. The CSO reported in February 2026 that more than 20% of enterprises in Ireland used AI in 2025, up from just over 15% in 2024. It also found that 5.4% of Irish enterprises used AI specifically for marketing or sales. In other words, your competitors are already testing this space, and the early movers are learning faster. [H2] Why one channel on its own is rarely enough You can run Google Ads on their own and get quick visibility. That is useful, especially when you need leads now, you are launching a service, or you want to test demand for a new offer. Still, paid ads stop the minute you stop funding them. You can also invest only in SEO. That can build a stronger long-term asset, but it usually takes time, especially in competitive sectors. If your site is weak, your pages are thin, or your conversion path is clunky, rankings alone will not do much for your pipeline. Then there is AI. AI on its own is not a channel at all. It is a layer that helps you improve the channels you already have. Used well, it can analyse queries, cluster search intent, support content briefs, improve reporting, and spot new opportunities in both organic and paid search. Google’s own Search Central guidance says the best practices of SEO still apply in AI features like AI Overviews and AI Mode, which means solid fundamentals still matter. AI does not replace them. That is why Salt treats growth as a system, not a stack of unrelated services. You can see that across our SEO services, Google Ads offering, content marketing support and our broader MaaS model. Each one plays a role, but the value gets much stronger when they inform one another. [H2] What Google Ads brings to the formula [H3] Speed and real-time market feedback Google Ads gives you immediate visibility for high-intent searches. That makes it useful for testing offers, landing pages, pricing angles and keyword intent before waiting months for organic rankings. It is also a live research engine. If a search term converts well in ads, that is often a good signal for SEO and content. If another term gets clicks but poor-quality enquiries, that is useful too. You learn where the commercial intent is strongest.Google has also made Search campaigns more AI-driven. In May 2025, it introduced AI Max for Search campaigns and said advertisers who switched it on typically saw 14% more conversions or conversion value at a similar CPA or ROAS. For campaigns relying heavily on exact and phrase match, the typical uplift was 27%. Later, Google said campaigns using Smart Bidding Exploration saw an 18% increase in unique search query categories with conversions and a 19% increase in conversions on average. Those figures matter because they show how AI can widen your reach without turning Search into guesswork. [H3] Better inputs for the rest of your marketing Ads data can also improve the rest of your funnel. For example, paid campaigns quickly reveal:which messages get clickswhich offers produce enquirieswhich pages convert wellwhich searches bring the wrong trafficThat data can shape your content calendar, your site copy, and even your service page structure. In practice, your ads account becomes an early-warning system for where real demand sits. [H2] What SEO brings to the formula [H3] Compounding visibility over time SEO works differently. Instead of renting attention, you are building an asset that can keep pulling in qualified traffic over time. That matters because Search is still growing in complexity, with AI helping people ask longer and more detailed questions. If your site is well structured and your content is genuinely useful, you have more chances to appear in traditional results and in AI-supported experiences. There are no special extra requirements for AI Overviews beyond strong SEO foundations and helpful content. This is where our SEO Agency Dublin service and WordPress SEO support fit in. Technical SEO, page structure, internal linking, local relevance and useful copy all give Google more confidence in what your site offers. [H3] SEO gives AI something worth citing There is another reason SEO matters now. AI systems need content to summarise, compare and cite. If your site is vague, thin, outdated or badly organised, you make that harder.Visibility now includes classic rankings, AI summaries, local signals, reviews and brand mentions. That is a wider job than old-school keyword chasing. [H2] What AI brings to the formula [H3] Faster analysis and smarter execution AI can help with keyword clustering, search intent analysis, competitor reviews, reporting, audience segmentation and content planning. Used well, it speeds up research and helps you spot patterns that would take far longer manually.Still, Google also says that AI-generated content is not against its guidelines as long as it is not produced mainly to manipulate rankings. It also says its ranking systems are designed to prioritise helpful, reliable, people-first content. So AI is useful, but publishing bland, generic text at scale is still a weak strategy. That is why our GEO AI SEO framework focuses on three things: useful in-depth content, stronger authority signals, and reporting that tracks how often your brand appears across AI search tools as well as Google rankings. AI helps with scale and insight, but the strategy still needs human judgement. [H3] AI improves both paid and organic search Google Ads already uses AI across bidding, matching and creative features. Performance Max helps advertisers drive conversions across its inventory, and advertisers using it saw an average 13% increase in total incremental conversions at a similar CPA. Meanwhile, AI Max expands query matching and creative relevance in Search. In short, AI is no longer a separate trend on the side. It is already built into how search marketing works. [H2] How the synergy works Here is what the growth formula looks like when the channels are working together. [H3] Google Ads tests demand quickly You launch campaigns around your most valuable services. Within weeks, you can see which search terms convert, which headlines attract clicks, and which landing pages book calls. [H3] SEO turns the winners into long-term assets Next, you take those proven themes and turn them into service pages, blog posts, location pages and supporting content. Because the topics are already validated by paid data, your SEO work starts from stronger ground. [H3] AI helps you refine and scale Then AI helps analyse search terms, group intent, identify content gaps, draft structures, spot reporting trends and highlight where visibility is growing or slipping. This is the same joined-up system we talk about in Salt’s difference between a marketing agency and a growth partner article. A growth partner looks at how each channel strengthens the others. A disconnected supplier usually reports on each one in isolation. [H2] Marketing for the New Era The strongest growth formula in 2026 is not Google Ads versus SEO, or AI versus traditional search. It is how all three work together.Google Ads gives you speed and testing data. SEO gives you staying power and brand visibility over time. AI helps you analyse, improve and scale both. When you run them as one system, you get better data, stronger visibility, and a clearer link between marketing activity and business growth. That is the thinking behind Salt’s Marketing as a Service model. Instead of juggling separate agencies, separate reports and separate priorities, you build one joined-up engine that keeps learning as the market changes. [H2] The Growth Formula: Real Stories, Real Results How Google Ads, SEO, and AI transform Irish businesses from “Invisible” to “In Demand.” [H2] CASE STUDY 1: THE ARTISAN’S STAND The Niche: High-End Sustainable Furniture (Boutique E-commerce) [H3] The Human Struggle Liam, a master woodworker in the West of Ireland, was trapped in a “bidding war.” He was spending €5.00 per click on Google Ads to compete with global furniture giants. He felt like his craftsmanship was being reduced to a price tag on a screen. [H3] The “Aha!” Moment We stopped bidding on “Oak Tables” and used AI to listen to what his customers actually asked in his workshop. They weren’t just buying furniture; they were worried about how Irish dampness affects wood. [H3] The Formula in Action Google Ads: Switched to “intent-based” searches (e.g., “durable wood for Irish homes”).SEO: Built a “Craftsmanship Hub” answering those exact climate concerns.AI: Google’s AI Overviews began citing Liam as the local expert. The Win: Liam stopped “chasing” and started “leading.” He saw a 34% increase in high-value orders and saved €15,000 in wasted ad spend. [H2] CASE STUDY 2: THE COMPLIANCE HERO The Niche: Health & Safety Software (B2B SaaS) [H3] The Human Struggle Sarah’s Dublin tech team had a great product, but her sales calls were exhausting. She spent more time explaining HSA (Health and Safety Authority) regulations than showing off her software. Her marketing efforts felt as if they were aimed at an empty space. [H3] The “Aha!” Moment We realised that whenever a new regulation was announced, site managers panicked. We decided to use that “panic window” to provide instant, human value. [H3] The Formula in Action Google Ads: Captured the “Immediate Rush” whenever regulations changed.AI: Instantly drafted “Survival Checklists” to match the new rules.SEO: Turned those checklists into permanent “Topic Authority” pages. The Win: Sarah’s cost-per-demo dropped from €140 to €68. Her team stopped being “pushy sellers” and became “trusted advisors.” [H2] CASE STUDY 3: THE EXPERIENCE CURATOR The Niche: Boutique Cinema & Events (Entertainment) [H3] The Human Struggle Mark, a cinema manager, was losing sleep over Netflix. His boutique cinema had velvet seats and gourmet wine, but online, he looked just like a cold, corporate multiplex. He was invisible to people looking for a “special night out.” [H3] The “Aha!” Moment We stopped selling “Movie Tickets” and started selling “Memories.” We used AI to scan his 5-star reviews to find the “soul” of his business—it wasn’t the film; it was the atmosphere. [H3] The Formula in Action Google Ads: Targeted “Luxury Date Nights” and “Alternative Corporate Venues.”SEO: Optimised for “Experience” keywords like “Best wine bars with a cinema in Dublin.”AI: Used data to identify that “Venue Hire” was 10x more profitable than a standard ticket. The Win: A 55% increase in private event revenue. Mark stopped competing with Netflix and started owning the “Premium Night Out” market. [H2] The “So What?” | Key Takeaways for Your Business What can you apply to your own growth plan today?Move from “Renting” to “Owning”:Lesson: Use Google Ads to test what works, then use SEO to build a permanent home for that topic. Don’t pay for the same click for 10 years.Speak “Human,” Not “Keyword”:Lesson: Like Sarah the SaaS founder, answer the stressful questions your customers are actually whispering. AI helps you find those questions; SEO helps you answer them.Find Your “Sub-Niche”:Lesson: You don’t need to out-spend the giants. You just need to be more relevant. Mark (Cinema) won by being a “venue,” not just a “theatre.”Trust the System, Not the Silo:Lesson: If your Ads person isn’t talking to your SEO person, you are losing money in the gaps. [H2] Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) [H2] 1.If I’m already ranking #1 for a keyword, should I still run Google Ads for it? Often, yes. Having both an ad and an organic listing increases your “shelf space” and builds trust. Additionally, ads protect you from competitors who might bid on your brand name or top keywords to steal your traffic.2.How does AI actually help my SEO?AI isn’t just for writing text. We use it to analyze thousands of search queries to find “intent clusters,” identify gaps in your content compared to competitors, and ensure your site’s technical data is structured perfectly for Google’s AI Overviews.3.Is AI-generated content bad for my rankings?Google’s 2026 guidelines focus on value, not the tool used. If AI generates “thin,” generic content, you will be penalized. If AI is used to research and structure high-quality, “people-first” content that solves a problem, it is a powerful asset.4.Why is “Marketing as a Service” (MaaS) better than hiring separate agencies?Separate agencies often compete for your budget or work at cross-purposes. Our MaaS model ensures that the person running your Ads is talking to the person writing your SEO content, ensuring every Euro

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 1677 businesses audited.
Marketing, SEO & Advertising Agencies BS: Salt Marketing (saltmarketing.ie)
Salt Marketing operates with a low BS factor, primarily driven by their willingness to publish transparent pricing and detailed Irish-specific economic data. The only significant flags are the 5-year discrepancy in their experience claims and the mathematically improbable ‘21,000 projects’ figure. Overall, the substance-to-signal ratio is among the highest in the agency category.
First, synchronize the experience claims between the meta description (17 years) and the body text (12 years) to ensure temporal consistency. Second, provide a breakdown or clarification for the ‘21,000 projects’ claim to avoid it appearing as a fabrication. Third, replace anonymized case study headers with actual client logos where NDAs permit to move from composite proof to verified proof.
High. The site exhibits all the hallmarks of a specialized digital marketing agency, specifically targeting the Irish SME sector with a focus on SEO, PPC, and outsourced marketing models.
“The score of 24 is driven mostly by Industry Cliché Density and a minor discrepancy in trust signals (Trust and Proof pillar). The Information Density pillar scored well due to the inclusion of hard economic data and transparent pricing, which significantly lowers the overall BS quotient.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from Salt Marketing, captured on May 19, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.
Notice to Salt Marketing: This analysis is part of a non-adversarial audit conducted by 1 Euro SEO. The results provided by 1EuroSEO are intended as professional feedback to help improve any website’s machine-readability and authority signals. The 1EuroSEO BS Detection Tool is a free tool, and anyone can test any company to see how their content is interpreted by AI models.
Any company can use the insights for free and improve its voice by comparing it to industry clichés or competitors. When a company has updated its content, it can always submit a new audit request, which will be reflected in a new current score.
To all users: You are encouraged to visit the live site at https://saltmarketing.ie to view the most current version of its content and learn from the source what this company is about and what it offers.
