[H3] Am I eligible to apply for a room within Student Accommodation in Liverpool?
The eligibility criteria for applying for a room in student accommodation in Liverpool are simple. You must be aged over 18 and have been accepted to study a full time course of 21 hours a week or more at a Liverpool university. When you apply for a room, you will be asked to provide proof of ID so that we can verify your age, and a copy of your offer letter so that we can validate your eligibility based on the type of course you will be studying.
[H3] Do I need a guarantor to rent a room in Student Accommodation in Liverpool?
We appreciate payment in full and prior to moving in wherever possible. However, we recognise that this is not always possible, so we do allow UK-based students to pay their rent in instalments, provided that they have a guarantor who will co-sign their rent agreement and be jointly liable for their payments.We regret that we cannot accept guarantors for international students who must pay for their rent in full and up front. UK-based students wishing to pay their rent in instalments must nominate a guarantor or speak to us about using a secure and insured rent guarantor service such as Housing Hand instead.
[H3] How long is the tenancy for Student Accommodation in Liverpool?
The tenancy for student accommodation in Liverpool lasts for 44 weeks, beginning in September and ending the following July. Students may remain in their accommodation over the Christmas and Easter holidays, should they so wish, but must vacate by the end date stated in their contract, unless they have spoken to us and we have agreed in writing to extend their tenancy.

If you wish to share student accommodation in Liverpool with friends from home, please make sure that those individuals are named on your reservation form, and we will endeavour to house you together. You may also state your preferences for housemates on the reservation form, and we encourage you to carefully consider who you would be willing to houseshare with. For example, you may prefer to live in a same-sex apartment or with people at a similar stage of study.
[H3] I've filled in a reservation form for Student Accommodation in Liverpool, what happens next?
Once you have submitted your reservation form for student accommodation in Liverpool, it will be reviewed and verified by a member of our team who will contact you by email should we need clarification or any supporting documentation, such as a copy of your university offer letter or your proof of ID. We will also let you know if you need to pay a deposit at this point to secure a room.Once we have all of the information that we need from you, we will issue you a draft contract which will detail the terms of the tenancy. You will need to read this carefully and sign to accept those terms before returning it to us. If you have indicated a preference to pay your rent in instalments, a copy of your signed contract will be sent to your guarantor to co-sign before it returns to us for action.Once all signatures have been collected, a final contract will be issued to you, and you will be able to move in on your stated date.

[H3] What do I need to bring with me to Lime Court?
When you move into your new room in Lime Court, it will be equipped with all of the furniture that you need, but you will need to bring your own home comforts to really make it your own. Items you will definitely need include bed linen - a pillow, duvet and so forth. You may wish to bring a laundry basket, an alarm clock, an extension lead and a lamp with you from home as well.Although you will have access to a communal kitchen, you will need to provide your own kitchenware, including cutlery, plates, bowls, mugs and glasses. You may be able to share the cost and use of laundry detergent, bin bags, washing up liquid and dishcloths with your housemates, but it is recommended that you initially bring your own supply.Your room will be an en-suite and you will need to stock your bathroom with the toiletries, towels and toilet paper of your choosing. You will also need to clean and maintain your bedroom and bathroom using appropriate cleaning products, which you must purchase.
[H3] Are pets allowed in Lime Court?
Unfortunately, we have a very strict no-pets policy in our Lime Court rooms and cannot make exceptions. If you have a support animal, such as a guide dog, that needs to accompany you to University, please speak to our team, and we will advise you of any potential alternative accommodation that exists to suit your needs.
[H3] Do I have to pay council tax in Lime Court?
Lime Court tenants are responsible for paying council tax unless they are full time students who have been issued with a council tax exemption from their University. This exemption certificate must be valid for the full tenancy period and be provided to us prior to taking up residency.If you believe you are eligible for a council tax exemption and you do not yet have one, please speak to your University's admin team and concurrently provide us with the details of your University enrollment and student ID so that we can make sure you do not incur council tax fees.
[H3] Do I need to pay a deposit for Lime Court Student Accommodation?
We ask for a holding deposit of one week's rent to secure your room. This deposit is then deducted from your first rent installment or from the total if you pay in full up front. The deposit is not returnable if you do not move into the accommodation as arranged and will instead be used to cover the admin fees that we incur in re-letting the room.
[H3] What's included in my Lime Court rent?
The price you pay is inclusive of all of your utility bills and unlimited WiFi. This means you will not incur any extra costs for your heating, electricity or water use. The only bill that is not included is a TV licence, so if you plan to watch live TV or stream BBC iPlayer you will need to purchase a TV licence separately. This costs £174.50 per annum, and you could incur a fine of up to £1000 if you are found guilty of watching live TV or BBC iPlayer without a valid TV licence.
[H3] Does My Lime Court Flat Get Cleaned?
There is no cleaning service for the Lime Court flats, and tenants are responsible for maintaining an acceptable standard of cleanliness and hygiene in their bedroom and bathroom.
